Where are our graduates going?

It’s no secret that the job outlook for college graduates isn’t great, though several sources say it’s getting better.

But many of our graduates who received their diplomas on Sunday are going places, whether it’s to the world of work or graduate school.

Newly minted graduate Shadow Kirkman, an accounting major, will be starting work as a senior accountant for Dresser-Rand in Olean, N.Y. Alida Leslie, a hospitality management major from Johnsonburg, Pa.,

is starting the manager-in-training program for Hoss’s Steak House.

As for graduate school, Charles Holjencin, a chemistry and biology major from Emporium, Pa., and Matthew Abplanalp, a chemistry major from Warren, Pa., have both been accepted to the graduate program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Joshua Flowers, a chemistry major from New Columbia, Pa., will be a teaching assistant while he works on his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University.

We will miss them, but we wish them well. But, we have many gorgeous photos to look at to remember them by.

If you have any good wishes to share with the graduates just let us know.
